Northeastern Mental Health Center is seeking a full-time Licensed Addiction Counselor or Certified Addiction Counselor. Specific duties include conducting substance abuse assessments and provide therapeutic intervention and supportive counseling to adolescent and adults in regard to substance abuse issues. Serve as part of multidisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement individualized and measurable treatment goals and modalities for each client. Perform crisis intervention in order to minimize relapse potential and support goals of treatment plan. Ability to clearly communicate, orally and in writing, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, community organizations, provider agencies and the general public. Ensure clinical activities are person focused, incorporating cultural sensitivity and respect, resulting in high levels of client/family, colleague and team member satisfaction.
Applicants must hold a master’s degree in a behavioral health field and be a Licensed Addiction Counselor or Certified Addiction Counselor in the State of South Dakota.
Full-time Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in a well-established community mental health center. Northeastern Mental Health Center located in Aberdeen, SD offers rural Midwestern hospitality away from the big city life that is peaceful but offers close, easy access to urban attractions.
Under the oversight of a collaborating physician, candidate will provide adult psychiatric services to a diverse client population. Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management as part of a comprehensive treatment team. Candidate will also provide treatment and support to clients with serious and persistent mental illness.
Possession of a valid driver’s license, ability to meet NEMHC auto insurance coverage requirements and willingness to travel throughout the NEMHC service area for performance of duties. Approved National Health Service site for tuition reimbursement. Master’s Degree required. SD Physician Assistant or Certified Nurse Practitioner License required. State and Federal DEA certification. Clinic Hours. No Weekends, Holidays or On-call.
